ANdu performs and teaches drums in the Boston area.

Andu has studied with many local instructors including John “Muzz” Muzzy and Steve Turner, as well as performing in school music ensembles and drum corps. He received a Music Performance degree at University of Massachusetts Lowell. There, he studied percussion with Jeffrey Fischer (Boston Ballet) and Fred Buda (Boston Pops). Andy has also studied with Dom Famularo and attended masterclasses by Billy Cobham, Dennis Chambers, and Will Calhoun.

Andu has performed with Boston-based prog-rock trio, Thunderchild, and instrumental power metal group, 3 Headed Monster, as well as the jazz quartet, Moving Forward. He also performed throughout the United States and Puerto Rico with Colorado’s live electronic funk duo, JWAIL.

Andu currently performs with Boston/Providence based indie rock group, The Big Lonesome, performing during SXSW in 2017, and releasing two albums, “Fascination” (2017) and “Payphones and Ashtrays.” (2020)
